Fishmongers people trust. Top rated seafood market in the entire Midwest. We sell the best, always.

Kate's Fish is a seafood market in Cleveland, Ohio. It is listed at 1979 West 25th Street F-12 + F-13 + H-14, Cleveland, OH 44113, which places it among the local businesses of Cleveland that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday, Thursday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Kate's Fish at (216) 621-7675; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is westsidemarket.org, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 121 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in Cleveland and suggests consistent service.

Cleveland is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Cleveland follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The best Fish market ever! The seafood is so fresh and high quality. The staff is so friendly and helpful. One of our favorite food to get there is the cooked lobster meat and they always have some for us even after their lobster roll Saturdays. They’re also always happy to reserve stuff for you if you call and pay over the phone. We got some great soft shell crabs from there.

We have been buying fish from Kate’s for over 20 years visiting about 2x per month. Always helpful and have never had a bad experience. While I miss Kate working the shop her son is kicking ass implementing new ideas. Definitely one of the most important anchor shops at the WSM.

Purchased some Lake Erie walleye earlier today, and yes I did fry it. Was excellent. The lady even offered to filet the whole fish when I asked because I didn’t know they already had some filets cut up. Ended up just buying those, but still to even offer was very nice of her. I’ll be back to try everything to be honest. Thanks Kate fish. Oh and she also let me leave it in their fridge until I was done shopping. Great service from someone who’s in the food industry themselves.

Thanks to Kate’s Fish, we can enjoy seafood as good as New England and the West Coast, in Cleveland. Ocean trout from Scotland, and king salmon from BC— stunning! Blue fin tuna chutoro is worth the splurge when available— follow them on Instagram to know. Also LOVE the oysters from Maine, it’s a real treat when they get those Glidden Points— briny, sweet, and clean— as good as but so much better value compared to Salty Girl in Boston. Finally, Boston mackerel grilled with sea salt and a piece of lime— perfection. Plus— the staff here are knowledgeable fishmongers, and nice!

I stood at the counter for several minutes before being acknowledged. When the employee finally approached me, there was no greeting or basic courtesy—she simply asked what I wanted. While I was waiting to check out, she continued chatting with coworkers and taking her time instead of helping customers. When I politely mentioned that I was in a hurry, she responded under her breath. I commented that her behavior was rude, and the interaction only became more uncomfortable. I shop at this fish market about once a week, and unfortunately the service is very inconsistent. There are a few employees who are friendly and professional, but other times it feels like customers are an inconvenience. The quality of the products keeps me coming back, but the customer service is definitely hit or miss. A simple greeting, attentiveness, and basic professionalism would go a long way.
